Saturday was a perfect day for tennis: the sun was out, the day was warm and there was a slight breeze in the air. The players came determined to make their mark and they clearly came with a Sharpie! All 9 flights plus 1 extra player took everything they learned this season and brought their "A" game to their matches. Each flight played three 8-game pro-sets against their competition. Overall, Lakeland ran away with the overall win with 23 total points to be the LVC JV Tournament Champions for 2020. South Lyon East was in second with 14 with South Lyon and Walled Lake Northern tied at 9 apiece.

Special mention goes out to Arnith Mothukuri. SLE needed an extra player to fill out their roster and Arnith offered to play with their player for SLE. He did an OUTSTANDING job and was commended on his play!

Also, special thanks to my team manager, Nick Poota. Without his help keeping track of scores and points, this day would have been more challenging! Nick has been an integral part of the team this season and has truly been the best manager I have ever had.

The JV team finishes up their season next week with two home games, on Tuesday versus South Lyon East and on Wednesday versus Farmington High School. Let's get it done and let's play our game! Go Eagles!
