Last Thursday, the Boys JV Soccer won its final Lakes Valley Conference match of the season, defeating Walled Lake Western 4-0 which secured first place for the conference.   

The match started with a Ricky Beltran goal in the 4th minute.  Ian Scarlett followed up with another goal off a pass by Beltran in the 10th minute.  Just two minutes later, Anthony Flevaris got one as well, making the score 3 to 0 at the half.  The Warriors offense woke up at the start of the second half, giving the Eagles' defense a workout, but Lakeland kept it under control.  At the 59th minute, Flevaris got his second goal of the night.  Then, with just 3 seconds left on the clock, Western's Salomon Baert tried to tap in a goal, but Eagles' Keeper Alec Waldman's diving grab saved the day. 

This brings the Eagles JV team to a Lakes Valley Conference final record of 7-1-0, and an overall season record 12-2-1.  They have outscored all of their opponents (tournament, preseason, non-conference and conference matches) by a staggering 45 to 4.
