On Saturday Jan 29th, the Lakeland Varsity wrestlers participated with16 teams in the Hartland invitational. Lakeland finished in 9th place.

6 Lakeland wrestlers finished in the top 8 in their weight class led by tournament champion Luke Jaworski.

These were the Lakeland place winners:

Luke Jaworski, 1st place, 140 lbs

Seth Zimmerman, 2nd place, 135 lbs

Lucas Rogers, 4th place, 160 lbs

Bryent Shepherd, 5th place, 189 lbs

Matt Eblen, 7th place, 112 lbs

Jordan Lancaster, 8th place, 171 lbs

Vince Juhasz, 145 lbs also won one match, but did not finish in the top 8.

The Lakeland JV team wrestled with 26 schools at the Fenton JV

invitational tournament, a 4-man round robin event.

4 Lakeland wrestlers finished in the top 3 including two bracket champions:

Everet Ross 172-173 lbs, 1st place, 3 pins

Jacob Law 169-171 lbs, 1st place, 2 pins, 1 decision

Mark Huntoon 146-147 lbs, 2nd place, 2 pins

Camran Wilson, 282-286 lbs, 3rd place, 1 pin

On Saturday Feb 5th Lakeland will host the Lakes Valley conference

championship tournament in the Field House.
