Tuesday, the Boys Varsity Basketball team defeated Notre Dame Prep, 70 - 54.
The Eagles were led by Caleb Zurek's 20 points and 16 rebounds. Austin Boughton contributed 18 points 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks, and David Jabiro had 15 points while controlling tempo throughout.
Lakeland defended well and was led on the defensive end by Max Beagan's huge night rebounding with 10 defensive boards, while Shane Ells and Lucas Theaker contributed to Lakeland's success in slowing down Prep's high powered offense.
Varsity improves to 2-0 on the year with Traverse City Central as our next opponent in Corunna on 12/28 at 5:15pm.
