On Tuesday Oct 5th, the Boys Varsity Soccer team took the field against Waterford Mott for a rematch from their 9/2 regular season 1-1 tie. With a right side early run, #8 Fynn Weisgerber put the Eagles up in the first 2 minutes with a hard shot that took a deflection and bounced in. A few minutes later, Mott got caught with a hand ball in the box. #18 Arthur White took the penalty tick and scored easily.
Before halftime, Mott countered and ended the first half at 2-1.
Despite lots of close chances and back and forth play, the second half had no more goals. The game ended in a 2-1 win for our Eagles.
The Varsity team now heads into the MHSAA District playoffs against Hartland on Oct 13th, on our home Lakeland field.
