Girls Varsity Volleyball team falls in close battle with Walled Lake Northern; program honors 5 seniors

Last Thursday, the Volleyball program hosted Walled Lake Northern, and it was an extra-special night as five seniors were recognized in a pre-match Senior Night ceremony: Ellie Forbis, Maya Gomez, Morgan Schmidt, Alyssa Younker and Danielle Zalupski.
The Varsity match was a battle, full of momentum swings, comebacks, and suspense. In Game 1, Lakeland rallied to win 26-24. Game 2 was all Northern, setting up a pivotal Game 3. Like the first game, Game 3 went into extra points, this time with Northern sneaking out the win to go up 2-1. Finally, Game 4 saw the visiting Knights make a rally at the end to take the match.
