Last Tuesday, the Lakeland Girls Ski Team had a long tough night in their double-header makeup race against Hartland and Marian. A tough slalom course and some tough conditions took out a lot of the field last night and the team struggled, but the Eagles endured and raced well.

The Girls came out strong on the first run of slalom and then the second run was brutal, with our top skier being taken out with injury and many others falling. They managed four solid results for a team score. The girls came back with a vengeance in the GS race and were amazing with junior Brooke White smoking the 10 team field by almost a second. The top racers for the girls were Brooke White with 4th in Slalom and 1st overall in GS, senior captain Chloe Lynch had 10th in slalom and 17th in GS, freshman Mahana Gallmeyer was 22nd in Slalom, senior captain Angela Salmeto finished 33rd in slalom and 14th in GS, and senior Autumn Christensen came in 22nd in GS. The girls split the night with a hard fought win against Hartland and close loss to Marian. Final scores were LHS 35 HHS 39 and LHS 41 and MAR 33. The girls finish their regular season in the Alpine Division with an awesome 7 wins and 2 losses.
