Friday, the Varsity Baseball team, currently ranked #3 in the entire state, defeated #9 South Lyon 4-2 in a winner-take-all game to win the Lakes Valley Conference Championship for the second consecutive year.
Gavin Meehan earned the win on the mound in relief.
The Eagles scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th to provide the margin of victory. Trent Farquhar, PT McDonald, Sam Falzon, Tate Farquhar, and Kevin Krill spearheaded the offense.
Lakeland moves to 30-4 overall, 23-1 in the LVC.
