Tuesday, the Varsity Softball team hosted Walled Lake Central for two games. The Eagles went 1-1 for the night; Lakeland also recognized its four seniors: Ally Brusseau, Jordan Cook, Caitlyn Johnson, and Elizabeth Langley.

The visiting Vikings jumped out to an early lead that they would not surrender. On the offensive end, the Eagles got hits from Summer Ambler, Marin Ponitz, Grace Glossinger, Caitlyn Johnson, Payton Grange, and Jordan Cook.

Lakeland 9 Walled Lake Central 8

Lakeland went down 5 in the first inning but fought back to take the win 9-8.

Lakeland pulled away for good in the 3rd inning. Sophia Shaw singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run and Ally Carlson doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs. Lakeland tallied 9 nine hits for the game. Natalie Gizoni and Shaw had multiple hits, while Summer Ambler hit a home run.

Ambler earned the victory on the rubber, striking out 7 for the game.
