Andre Neumann sets new Indoor Shot Put record; Neumann and Kelsey Williams take 1st Place in shot put

Today, senior Andre Neumann and junior Kelsey Williams competed in an Indoor Track and Field meet held at Saginaw Valley State University, both taking 1st Place in the shot put.
Neumann, competing for only the 3rd time indoors, set a new school record for the indoor shot put, heaving one 58' 7". The previous record distance set in 1981 was 55' 5 3/4". Neumann adds this school record to the two outdoor throwing records (shot put and discus) that he already owns.
Williams had a throw of 34'4" to win her event. She has already established herself as one of Lakeland's best throwers ever with two outdoor seasons still ahead of her.
