Lakeland HS is proud to announce the hiring of Mark Wolter as the school’s new Boys Golf head coach.
Wolter joins Lakeland after serving as head coach at Cheryl Stockwell High School. In addition to golf, Wolter has coached a wide variety of youth sports, bringing a well-rounded and development-focused approach to athletics.
A former multi-sport athlete, Wolter competed in golf, baseball, and football at Hillsdale College, where he developed a strong foundation in teamwork, discipline, and competitive excellence. His diverse athletic background allows him to connect with student-athletes and emphasize both individual growth and team success.
Coach Wolter said, "I am grateful and fortunate to be a part of the Lakeland Athletic Program. I look forward to utilizing the skill sets needed to make Lakeland Golf a perennial powerhouse. My goal is instill the characteristics most needed in the game of golf which include discipline, work ethic, and respect for the game."
Any student-athletes interested in playing golf this spring should plan to meet Coach Wolter for a short meeting during seminar on Thursday, January 22 in the Multi-Purpose Room behind the athletic office. Please report to your seminar class then head to the meeting. Attendance will be taken.
